The TEKNO Human Performance Centre is Australia’s first high performance fitness centre purpose built for motorsport development. Modelled on the Porsche High Performance Centre at Silverstone, the TEKNO Human Performance Centre focuses on key health and fitness programs designed for elite Motorsports athletes.
Human Performance is driven by British ex-pat Philip Young. Phil has over 10 years experience as a sports therapist and fitness professional, having worked with elite athletes and racing drivers including Mark Webber and Jenson Button.
He worked exclusively with Jenson Button from 2001 – 2007, providing him with personal training, sports massage, nutritional advice, and all therapy services both pre and post race. He has worked with organizations including Benetton F1, Renault F1, Honda Racing F1 Team, British Men’s and Women’s Cycling teams, Team Total Fitness (triathlon), and on television shows such as Gladiators & Ice Warriors, providing personal training and therapy services.
He currently trains some of the top drivers in the V8 Supercars Championship, including Jonathon Webb, Shane van Gisbergen, James Courtney, Tim Slade, Scott Pye, Dean Fiore, Alex Davison and Scott McLaughlin.
Phil is registered with Fitness Australia as a Fitness Trainer (Personal Trainer & Gym Instructor), and the Australian Association of Massage Therapists (AAMT) as a Remedial Masseur and is a registered provider with many private health funds.
TEKNO Human Performance is also capable of accommodating athletes across a broad range of sports.
